| Hello and welcome to my garage. A little about myself, im a freelance photographer from Colorado that loves anything from drifting to circuit racing and everything in between. Here are a few shots from some past photoshoots. Here's my brother's car getting towed when we first moved here. Anyway, onto my story. I spent all week checking Craigslist religiously looking for a missle to drift at the local track but I spotted a mint '99 Civic EK Coupe. Its located in Maple Valley, US but I think a visit to the raceway there would make up for the trip. I quickly contacted the owner and left that night with a friend in his FD. He told us to meet him at the Maple Valley Raceway and I found out that his dad actually owns the track and that the test drive would be epic, I wonder what he meant by that. All I know is I couldn't wait. We got there early the next morning and met the owner at the doors. We took a cart to the track where this beauty was waiting in the pits. I knew at that moment that I was not leaving without that car. He handed me the keys and said "Drop the camera and take it for a test drive, you have the whole track to yourself." I didn't waste one second and jumped straight it in. The car felt perfect around the entire track. We stopped several times just to take photos as the scenery there is great in the morning. My friend took the one below, as you can see I didn't want to let go of the wheel. I went back to the pits and asked him how much he was asking for the car. He said $7,000 which was a lot for a '99 but it was an Si that was very well taken care of. Looked like it was straight out of the factory. I handed him the cash without even thinking twice. I took a couple more shots before leaving but he told me that they were going to be holding races later that day if I wanted to come back and really put the car to the test. I quickly said yes and went to get a bite to eat. Later that evening, coming soon. | |

| Well, it was that time. The car was inspected, prepped and ready to go. I was extremely nervous because this was my first time racing on this track and also because I still haven't gotten used to the new car. Anyway, before I knew it I was on the starting line. I was lucky because today was Casual Raceday where everyone brought their daily drivers so it was the perfect time to practice. Although I did see a couple of exotics but they were placed at the front of the grid. As I was sitting at the starting line for the green to go, the flagger waved the starting flag. Everyone revved their motors and hit the gas. There was no turning back. I wasn't used to where the clutch was on the car yet so like every racer's worst dream, the car stalled.. Luckily everyone was able to swerve around me but I then knew that I had work ahead of me to catch back up with the group. The Civic actually sped up pretty quickly and did great up the hill, later I found out that the motor was fully built by the motor. That explains the hefty price but well worth it! Before I knew it I caught up with the rest of the group. Lost in the anxiousness to catch up I nearly hit the car in front of me but braked and swerved just in time. Not a good start. I didn't want to look like a noob so I hit the gas and went for it. In the next corner I squeezed right between the Peugeot and the wall. A near miss for us but as I looked ahead I saw the Kia and a Sentra scrape past each other. These guys were not as casual as I thought. I took it wide along the end of the round about and nearly scraped the wall myself but with the guy I bought the car from watching, that was the last thing I wanted to do. So I swerved to the left and nearly clipped the Fiat next to me. He took it as me racing dirty so he through some dirt back by cutting me off at the end of the straight-away. This meant war. Because of him cutting me off and going too fast into the corner we both nearly lost control leading him to crash into the Kia that hit the Sentra before. They were not happy as these were their daily drivers. The Kia slowed down a bit to regain control but the Fiat blasted along leaving me in the middle of them. I knew I had to get out of there before getting caught in the crossfire. So I pulled the move I pulled on the Peugeot in the first lap but the Fiat playing dirty almost threw me against the wall. I held on to the wheel and kept the pedal to the floor. Luckily I was able to pass the Fiat and with the same momentum I was also able to pass the Sentra killing two brids with one stone. It wasn't over though because I still had to catch up to the car that was in front of me. I could only catch a glimpse of him everytime I turned a corner. I layed the throttle wide open and tried my best to catch up to him as this was the final lap. I was almost on his tail but felt like this was going to be a close one. I almost forgot that the people behind me were still racing because they were so far back. I was in the zone. Result of the race to come.. | |

| Removed and repainted the molding on the MKIII, still deciding on keeping them black or changing them back to white. Also added spacers to the hood so the 2JZ can breathe, Top on, Top off, | |
