| Hello everyone and welcome to my Colorado garage! My name is Alex and I am building an RX-7 FD. My FC didn't pass specs to come to Colorado from Florida so I am leaving it there for the time being and decided to try my hand at a new style of car. I chose the FD because it is a very unique car with a very fun engine to tune and build. I found this FD in an older man's barn in his backyard. It was in very good condition and well taken care of. He was asking 18k for it and for the condition the car was in that was a steal price! So I got the title and keys and now am planning step by step how I am going to build this into a drift spec competition worthy car.

| Pictures of build. 11/13/12 Decided to take a picture of my new car at a clear parking lot. It's just a stock FD for now. Super happy with the condition it's in. Going to start entering some events in it and making some money to build the engine. First thing will be a single turbo setup. Then exhaust and street port. Going to take it to DCW to get all the fabrication work after the engine is more modified. It's got about 80k on the motor as it is now with no problems other than a high rev at a cold start. Clean re-build will fix that. 11/27/12 Since the last picture above I have put coilovers and new wheels on my car. Details on pg. 2.

| the rotors on a non turbo (injection) 13b are higher comp than the turbo 2 rotors so its the first upgrade before porting etc.. | |

| yup, poor fuel and old oil will kill one as fast as you like... or give it to a woman that has no idea what internal combustion is and you have 5 year old rx8's for £600 up and down the uk with "starting issues" dont get me wrong if maintained they are nigh on bullet proof, even if they do set fire to the car behind them at regular intervals | |

| You have an obvious point. My car has ran amazing ever since I've had it. I pre-mix, but with a good gas/oil mixture and I make sure I measure it out as close as possible, I hate doing it but the car doesn't have the oil metering pump so I have to. I see a few older women driving convertible's around and I'm just like ahhh... lol. I guess all you have to do to shoot flames is take the cats off lol. Can't wait for that. My brothers car shoots like 5ft long flames - | |

No kidding, RX-8's are dirt cheap. Depriciation and the fact that no one knows how to maintain one. Our old teacher from high school had one, she sold it because of "starting issues" I saw on Driftworks someone bought one and swapped an SR in there. I'd love an RX-8 though. | |
