This works. Take it to a local shop or walmart and ask to have the disc surface cleaned.

| Grab a hard drive from a laptop and stick it in the xbox and save everything to it. I didnt know laptop HDs worked but they do and it plugs right in. | |

| this xbox is almost 6 years old lol, it was a 20gig hard drive box, for the past 4 months i was running a 32gig flashdrive with it, till the flashdrive fuhjffuyiyhghgyed up and i lost all of my forzas (2,3,4,horizon) and all 3 of my GTA's, then i got a new 250gig bout 2 weeks ago, this started happening bout a week before my hard drive got changed but the past 3 days its got really bad, i canonly use it for netflix/youtube/chats.. anything besides gaming | |

| Changed hard drives... That was it. I knew you were having some sort of issues with something... Before this one.
6 years?! I have had about 8 xbox's in that time.. I dont even play thaaaaaat much, but about once a year I RRoD and they send me a replacement. I believe I will be getting a new model for Xmas (Hopefully Wifey gets the hints... lol)

| only other issue ive had was it overheated a few times cuz it was on a tight shelf with no vent.
i got it christmas day 6 years ago and the christmas after it RROD'd that was the only time it happened, i got it fixed under warrenty as well. still dont understand how this lasts 6yrs, but i have a original PS2 (one of the first that came out) and its been dropped from ~6ft a few times, spilled water on it and left running for days at a time and it plays like new, my lil brother still uses it

| PS2's are indestructible for sure. Mine lasted me through college and you can only imagine what happened to it...
@ one point, I think was used to hold a window open because it wouldnt stay open... countless spitoons/beers spilled on it, few bowls, some cig burns... ahhh college...
It still works. | |
