Not sure about the decals and the colour of the rims, though.
Could be that the photosettings washed the colours out a bit :]

@ TRK, still playing with colors to look good on the base. Photo settings might help that, but in all actuallity, it's not very pleasant to look at, at this moment... lol

I need to snap a pic of the gremlin in drag trim. I have the rear end lowered and the front jacked up, gasser style. I didnt really notice a difference in times playing with it.

i launch mine at 2.5k and floor it right as it dumps the clutch. it wants to do a wheelie lol

Up the exposure and just a tad bit of contrast. I like the hazy, but I think thats just a bit too much.

I edited the picture slightly.
I removed the annoying nastyness left and above the car, that really put me off.

I'm assuming you used PS? I've found that a slight B/W gradient overlay, before you start working on lighting and colouring, makes it look a lot better in the long run.

I tend to adjust contrast and black/grey/white values with levels or curves instead of gradients.
Gives me more control :]

I understand what you mean though, that looks good on almost every picture.
You probably mean the gradient map rather than the gradient fill, right?
Another thing that is done lots of the time is a BnW gradient map on luminosity, gives the same sort of effect :]

Yeah, it helps to reduce the contrast of a picture, to enable you to have a lot more control over what you want the image to look like, rather than trying to produce something subtle out of crazy, vivid colours. xD

that is my method of photo editing due to my lack of patience or willingness to learn anything. just fuck with the autocorrect settings until it looks better than it did (IMO of course)

When I draw digitally I create a BnW image first as well. It helps to see the contrast.
Sometimes I revert my image back to BnW to see if my contrast is still okay.

Lately I've been experimenting with different styles, it might not be what you guys like, haha.
I want to try to do more than just make an image look good, it has to have that feeling haha.

I'm still rockin' CS2. And still have PS7 on another laptop. THE SKOOL IS OLD SKOOL, AND IM THE HEADMASTA!

CS4 or nothing.

I have no need for anything newer. I haven't used PS for anything other than personal reasons since CS2 was around, so had no reason to upgrade.

I rock Paint Shop Pro. What is the general opinion of that amongst Photoshop users? Nubs status? lol

Paint Shop Pro sucks. xD There was another one that sucks too... Uhh... GIMP, that's terrible. And Graham, let me have a search around online this weekend, I know there was a working keygen for a few different versions of PS, but can't remember which, but I'll try hook you up.
