| Ok, so I recently got a nice bit of cash to play with. The plan was to buy a Solstice, but then I thought I've got enough drift cars. What use would another one be?.. So then I thought about time attack, but I get bored with that too easily, so I'd only end up selling my car. Then I thought about re-shelling the E36, that's something I've thought of for a while now. Now i have the cash, more than enough to get an E46 and put a few suspension parts on there. I was just gonna part out the E36 and put whatever I could on the E46, that way I'd have a nice new drift car. But then just as I was doing it, ready to update my bank. I just couldn't press send. I know it's only a game blah blah blah. But I really do love my E36. I've had it for a hell of a long time. It's been through a few different looks, pulled podiums in competitons and I've had some sexy tandems in it. I couldn't just retire it to a dusty corner of my garage to sit and watch itself being replaced by a younger model. So I decided to spruce it up a bit, bought some new engine bits and bobs for it. Managed an extra 80+ horsepower out of the motor. So, sorry to bore you if I did. Just wanted to say how much the car means. The E46 will always be a perfect car, it's just in my eyes nothing comes close to the old E36. When I first bought the car. The first 'look'. Getting ready for the first round of GRDA. When I got sponsered for GRDA by Garage-D. Then it became the 'Ace-Maker' which for some reason I have no pictures of.. Weird. But this is how it sits today. It's been one hell of a journey, and I couldn't have done it done it with any other car. | |

| I really enjoyed that post Cougar. I've had alot of cars on here, with more than a few purchased used with parts already applied. But, my E46 on the other hand, I bought that when I had little money, and spent weeks on its first build, then rocked it that way for a bit, saved up some dough, and then brought it to where she stands now. I really do love alot of my cars, but 500k couldn't get my E46. It's my favorite BnB car, hell its my favorite non-bnb car, and my all time favorite M3 in real life. So, you thought you might have bored us with your post? Nah man, you simply made us think of the car that's in our garages that we feel the same about. Kudos to you bro on not moth-balling the E36. You can always save or sell something else to get you the E46, but you can never take back the parting out of your E36. My baby when I first got it: The next look after a bit of money: And how my baby looks right now: | |

| Thanks dude. I've got nothing but respect for your E46 man, the cars that are my favourite on here aren't the ones that look the nicest. It's the one's with history, the ones where you can trace back to when it was first driven it, to how it sits to this day. I'm so glad I decided against parting the E36, like you said, there will always be another time I can buy an E46. Also, thanks for the post guys. | |

| Well, as you guys may know, I picked up an early 90's E30 from a guy I met at the track today. The cars spotless. I was surprised to see such a clean car at a dusty track. My plans for the future is to make it a full competition spec drift car, and if I'm good enough, even pick up a sponsor or two. Oh well, shes mine now! I've been spending a lot of time over in Sonoma lately. Ask Louis, every time he texts me, I reply "Talk to ya later, I'm at the track". But I haven't been over here for nothing. I've been testing the E30 out and seeing what the stock 4 cylinder puts out for power on their engine dyno. I figured the bimmer lays down 215 HP and 180 LB-FT. Not bad for a factory 4cyl. I've been researching stuff about the I6 out of the E36's. They seem to have a pretty decent power/torque band, so maybe that's a little hint of whats to come. Well, here she is. The beloved E30. Right now shes sitting on stock springs. I ripped out the rear seats for less weight and welded the diff myself, so basically so far, I've got $0 into the car, not including the initial price I paid for it. On another note, let me know what you guys think of her! | |
