i'm happy to see a major sponsorship in drifting vaughn gittin and justin pawlak both are very talented drivers and deserve it. However it's making FD more predictable, either way im pretty sure JR is going to be this years champion hes kicked ass all season however with this announcement it makes me believe ford is paying big money to have there driver lead the brand in the sport. Hopefully im wrong hopefully he crashes his mustang and fails, and ford arent paying money.

i predict a jump in number of mustangs used in FD.

i have mixed feelings

I predict that they will find that they arent making any money off sponsoring FD, and drop their sponsorship in a few years.

The more optomistic point of view is that hopefully it encourages other manufacturers to jump on board and show support and sponsor. Negative side to this is hopefully it doesnt make it harder for drivers to break into the FD ranks and have to compete with high dollar factory backed teams.


If anything it will probably bring more attention to FD, which is good.

Oh well I guess I am all for it, considering it sounds like they have been backing Gittin for like 5 years now already. I still think some other manufacturers should step up an get more involved. Unlike Hyundai who completely pulled their support for US motorsports earlier this year.

I predict that alot of pootang will be slain within the next year. Best thing that could of happened to FD. Besides me of course

ill still watch FD.. but if more factory sponcers come on board i wont try to get my FD license.. theres like nothing grassroot about FD anymore. and most of the guys that pay for it out of pocket are at the bottom of the standing cuz FD judges cant judge for jack shit

its not supposed to be grass roots, granted it had humble beginnings, but it is a professional series, it supposed to be a big money game, if u want grassroots go XDC or something

alot of my friends are moving from FD pro am to XDC
