| Hey guys, figured I'd join since I used to be part of the whole Forza grassroots drift league. I'll be taking the path (I think?) less travelled and building an IS300 for drift/grip. Hope to run events with you guys sometime. IS300 Build- Spoiler:
3/20/13 Ordered the last of the mechanical parts today! After thinking for a while, I decided on StopTech slotted rotors and stainless steel brake lines with Project Mu calipers/brake pads. This should give me more than adequate stopping power for the track. Installed a Fidanza flywheel for improved response Finally started on the body as well MrTupas was kind enough to sell me his Version Select body kit - however, since it was originally fitted to an Altezza, some slight adjustments will need to be made. I also bought a C-West hood to compliment the kit, although I'm going to wait on installing all of it until body work and paint are done. Keep an eye out for a new look soon 3/18/13 Just got back from vacation, tried starting the car and shortly after realized that my spark plugs were shot. So I picked up a set of NGK's and grounded all necessary points - that should end any electrical gremlins (hopefully!). I also figured I should probably throw on a K&N filter while I'm at it, not sure why I hadn't done any of this before. Finally bought some decent tires as well - Achilles ATR Sport's Only a little more to go! 3/7/13 Had some spare time recently, so I tore the motor apart and refreshed a few parts as I installed a set of Brian Crower stage 2 cams (264°/264°), stainless steel valves, springs, and retainers. Everything should be running well now, all that's left is to get a tune Also finished up the driveline with a 1-Piece aluminum driveshaft (thanks to The Driveshaft Shop!). Now I shouldn't need to worry about breaking anything 3/1/13 Lots of purchases today! Continuing to strengthen the driveline for the upcoming power increase, bought a ACT Heavy Duty Sprung 6 Puck clutch Finally picked up a Sound Performance fuel rail kit, Walbro fuel pump and Bosch 550cc injectors Driftmotion helped me out with my cooling issues, as the engine will be getting pretty hot in competition. Put on a Koyo radiator, HPS silicon hoses, Flex-a-Lite dual 12" cooling fans, DM power steering oil cooler, and dry sump system. Had Touge Factory fab up a 3.5" straight pipe exhaust into a Greddy Ti-C muffler And I bought a set of WedsSport TC105n's from a friend, he helped me tint my windows too - figure it's time to start making the car look cool. Had some time to take a picture while cruising through the touge 2/27/13 Well, I couldn't wait and decided to splurge a little by beginning to prep the driveline for increased power. Rather than having to worry about the W55 transmission blowing up and relying on a backup, I ordered a G-Force Street 6-Speed transmission, which should be good for up to at least 800 hp (though I have no plans of making anything near that). It is, however, based on a Tremec T56, so I had to buy a 2JZ adapter plate for it to mate up correctly. 2/25/13 Bought a Greddy front mount intercooler, piping, and Type RS blow off valve - all that's left is a fuel setup/tune and I should be set to run boost Picked up a W58 transmission from MrTupas (thanks man!) in case the W55 grenades, hopefully that should hold me over until I can pick up a stronger gearbox. 2/22/13 Sourced a Garrett GTX3576R turbo with a quick spool valve thanks to Sound Performance I was looking for fast spool, and it should meet my power goals pretty nicely. Just keeping it in my garage while I finish piecing the rest of the system together. I'll need to start thinking about upgrading the transmission, since the W55 doesn't like boost very much. 2/21/13 Payday! Bought a few more suspension pieces - Hotchkis sway bars, FIGS links and arms, and Stance Super Sport coilovers. 2/20/13 Stock - I opted for the Crystal White paint, I've always been a fan of white cars. Big thanks to Touge Factory, who gutted/media blasted the interior, installed a Formula D spec roll cage and door bars, seam welded where necessary, installed TRD chassis bracing links/bars, and threw in a Recaro Profi SPG bucket seat + OMP Corsica wheel . Installed an OS Giken Super Lock LSD as well. Build List- Spoiler:

| Met up with MSMX6 earlier tonight for a little drifting action, unfortunately I couldn't stay for long. Definitely looking to keep the build going, I need to work on my setup so I can keep up! BNB Usernames: Spaz, theSidesweep Date: 2/22/13 | |

| Nice build! I miss my Altezza now even more now And if you want, I'll glady give you the W58 off my SC lol. Doesn't hold up much power, but its a lot more reliable than the W55 haha. | |

| Thanks man, just trying to scrape together more money as quickly as possible, I've got some cool ideas for the car.
I was looking for an R154 if possible (Sport Transmission), but if you don't want the W58 then I'd gladly keep one as a spare just in case something breaks.
I think I read that you're sponsored by JDM Chicago this season?

| Haha, I look forward to the finish product.
Yeah, I was gonna go R154, but I decided to spend a bit extra for the V160. And yeah, probably not gonna ever use the W58 ever again...Unless I finally decide to build an 86, but that probably won't happen for a long time from now.
Yep. Just wanted a small, local sponsor so I don't have to give my SC some fancy wrap lol.
