| Found this beauty on YJ, low miles and pretty much mint. Passed Shaken with no problems at all, so got to fitting parts to it. Got a set of D-Max coilovers and a Kaaz 2-way, as well as a new performance clutch from Exedy. Also fitted some new wheels and tires. Dared to do a little day-time touge just to get a feeling for how it all came together. This will do very nicely until I can bankroll a more powerful car. >:3 | |

| Been a busy day. Went for an early morning mountain run and locked up into a rail. Sun was just up, so I knew my mate with the car carrier could come rescue me before anyone rang the police. Got it into his shop and I thanked him by springing for breakfast. After a bit of scrutineering, determined nothing important was busted, and banged the rad core supports back into shape. While I was doing that, my buddy let me requisition a fender and bonnet and some lights and bits off of a rear-ended PS13 he had behind his shop. They're factory dark blue, and I can't be arsed to paint them to match, so I guess the car is now officially touge bomber status. I still needed a front bumper, so I decided to go with something aftermarket to let a little more air get to the rad. It's still on 100% stock power, so I have to push it pretty hard. Found a slightly-worn Origin fiberglass bumper, and got to fitting it. Again, it's not the same color as my car, and I don't even care. While I was out picking up the bumper, my buddy sorted out my alignment (again) and I took him into town for some dinner. You think anyone will notice it's a drift car now? | |
