yeah i had everything off apart from driving line and damage. to me it felt great.

overall im impressed with the game. T10/PG have done a great job so far and i cannot wait for the full release.

I think the demo is just going to determine whether I need to take 1 day or 2 days off at the end of the month to geek out on the full game.

Bit disappointing.
But then again, there was no customisation and the largest portion of the demo was with an AWD car.
Off-road is pretty damn awesome, though.

My favorite part of TDU2 customizing was dropping 15k to soup up the VW beetle.

And getting like 7 hp from it.


At least I dont have to worry about shit like that in Horizon.

My Thoughts. After an hour playing with controller (I usually play with a wheel)

Definitely doesn't handle like Forza or its at least different enough that you notice. But its still good. The Evo sucks. The lighting is over exaggerated. But its cool, guess its the vibe the game was going for. I actually like the radio stations. You cant drive everywhere. The roads are pretty much lined with fences and barricades, at least in the areas of the demo. Panning around the map, looking at the whole thing in relation to the demo areas....its not that big, at least when you compare it (inevitably) to Test Drive Unlimited. BUT..the environment is pretty awesome. Tire smoke is nice and thick compared to Forza...when you are doing a burnout. I didnt see any while drifting. Hopefully this is just an issue in the demo.


The final race with the Viper is pretty awesome, The car gets loose with ease when all the assists are turned off. Cross the bridge, follow the course to the right up the hill, then at the next split in the road, go off course and follow the other road to the left, you can follow it all the way back down to the intersection after the bridge. Once I hop back on the demo with my wheel, definitely going to hit this whole section to practice FH drifting!

If you do a rivals challenge on it.... No end race timer.

The cars feel a little bit less connected to the road.
I changed from 4 to H and back, back again and the cars in 4 feel heavier, more connected and slower.

Horizon seems to have altered the engine just a bit.

I have not played the demo yet, and it seems like there is sort of a mixed review about it here. I thought they weren't going to touch the forza game engine?

my initial thoughts with the controller, were that the cars were easier to control with all the assists off than they would be on FM4.

But I rarely use the controller to actually drive, so I need to give it another go with the wheel. There are a few people saying the simulation steering on the wheel feels a lot better on FH.
