| I would like to announce that BNB will be expanding to Grand Turismo 5 and later in the future, Forza 5. Our current system has taken 2+ years to fine tune but we are still far from perfection. The forums will be getting overhauled (nothing drastic that would effect your current experience) in order to make it easier and more realistic for both newcomers and our current members.
I am asking our loyal community to take part in helping us take BNB to the next level. Please post anything that you hate about BNB, anything you would like to see change, what you like about BNB, anything! Our new members can help as well by letting me know wat it was like to join BNB and become a part of it. Was it confusing? Is it well explained in the BNB Guide? Too long of a read?
Anything you share with us will help, so please speak up and encourage each other's ideas.
Thanks, Smooth (Built Not Bought Founder)

| What I hate/would change: Its a grassroots community, and people have got cars with excess of 500hp, not very realistic, so you might want to give the pricing and stuff a rethink for Forza 5?
What I love: The majority of the forum is drama free and thats because of the great members of BNB, and of course, the almighty Smoothie.

| I don't think a horsepower is a problem..It just depends on how much money you want to put into that car. | |

| I like it the way it is, but it would bring the upmost enjoyment if as a community we were all in the same boat. All in a tight money situation. I like having to work my arse of big time to achieve what I want.
I think that people can get cars so easily. In the real world you have to pay tax and insurance and other shit. Also if were buying imports, it would be awesome if we had to pay import fees. I'm British and say I wanted a Japanese car, I would have to pay import tax !
Get rid of Lobby bonus or even making it smaller, I've made round about 32K from lobbies since it was introduced haha
That's it really. I'm glad see your letting us rant @Smooth

| +1 to that Falken....
@ Callum, I've spent 60-70K + on my RPS13... It started as a grassroots car, Just evolved, Depends on the money you have to spend and how much you like your car......
Anyway one thing I would change is the bank statements, Not change em too much just a way in which it makes it easier to find things in it and add to it.... It might not be a HUGE problem but I fund once it starts taking up 1/2 of a webpage it makes it hard to find anything

The leader. In all honsety, you can make money way too fast in this. We have to slow it down some. I could easily have a fully built ZR1 in 3 weeks of paydays and 16 man lobbies.

| I love everything about BNB pretty much, It's simple, people are great, it is grassroots though and I have a garage probably about 200k and I've only been here a month

I have to agree. i have 2 current cars that are over 500 + hp. i built them both with used parts from deals and trades. Ive only got 3 total 16 man bonuses!!!! i think that the curent state of BnB is great!!! Here's what i would like to see improve: Weekly event for Every Venue (i.e drag, drift, Time attack, P2P (touge)) *this would cause people to enter their cars, and almost eliminate their primal need for 16 man lobbies..almost) Spare parts added to the junkyard (actually i like to just see the junkyard in operation again) And here's a hard one... Although we have the BnB Popo..i have seen ALOT of shady garages and transactions with NO account of money made. The MAJORITY of fellas are right in line and if i see something shady (excuse me if im over steppin my boundaries) i call them on it. i just like havin fun within the rules and would expect for others to do the same? Someone tell me if im outta place here

| We can't cap or stop anyone from having high horsepower cars. If you want a grassroots car build it to what spec you want and keep it there. As for lobby bonuses I think they should be left as they are, look what happened last time we tried to change them.. We can all talk about it sure, but not change anything until there are set rules in place.
We can all agree that the pricing needs a good doing over, I think FM5 is the right time to do that however.
And as far as Import Tax and stuff, I'm afraid I don't agree on that one. I can see where you are coming from, trying to make the experience as real as possible. But it could get too confusing and hard to keep track of. I'm all for keeping it real, but at the end of the day it is just a video game.

Side note: BnB has shown me more luv than any other group ive been in (counting FHRA) the guys around here are top notch and keep me laughin!!! Back on track: Pricing my need a lil adjustment like the others mentioned

| Let's keep this thread on track please. GT5 will be our test zone for the new prices. Our current prices are based on ratios to replicate Forza but as we've all learned, Forza's parts prices aren't realistic either. Keep the ideas churning, every bit helps. | |

| What if you took a broad range of tuning company's prices for stuff, and took a average of that.
Like if these were real life prices for a turbo kit:
HKS cost 3000 dollars
Blitz cost 2500 dollars
And Trust cost 1000 dollars
Take the average: (rounded to nearest 100) 2,200 dollars
The only downside to this would be that different cars cost different amounts to modify ie rarer or older
Maybe someone has any way to make this better?

We can increase the prices by a certain percentage depending on the car's class or dealer price.

| That would work.
You, Smooth, would have to chose brands to base this off of too.
I just thought that might seem like a more realistic approach to prices
With that, 6000 a week is also a little high for a realistic payday.
What about 3000. Still enough for cool stuff, but makes you think about your purchases more

There's nothing to rethink for Forza 5 Callum... It's called saving money up and building cars. Not everyone spends their $6k in one place, you know. Agreed with Cougar.

| Stunners idea of taxes is interesting. If you want a garage full of built cars (looking at myself haha), its going to cost you in taxes. monthly taxes? quarterly? I guess the only way to dictate how much tax is paid would be based upon the value of each car as its built? Or even easier, maybe just a HP/Class tax assessed per car?
I think its a good idea but it would be really hard to track and enforce to make sure people are paying.

| If we're going to do taxes, I think it should be every 6 months, that way we don't get confused in doing the math as Cougar said. I'd personally rather not because that's just taking it too far; I mean it's not real life.
