| Where is TRK in all this nonsense? He has 2 B class cars I think. - Impulse wrote:

LOOK AT SMOOTH sneakin in a 2:35 on page 1! I just noticed that right now. That is after I narrowed the tires front and rear, went back down to 17" wheels, retuned slightly to try and gain back a little grip. And was able to drop in some street valves and pick up a few hp. Going to retune my C class autocross setup the same way..Its possible these setups may become available to rent from M7 soon. - camaromanLS1 wrote:

dude, I did about 10 full runs where I hit at least 2-4 gates, just ignore it and keep going fast. Of course there were about 10 more runs in there that I restarted part of the way through out of frustration. Then I got the clean lap finally. The courses are frustratingly long so its too easy to lose time or hit a gate right on the final stretch and make you want to break something. Forza REALLLLLY needs an autocross layout editor like LFS has, that would be friggin insane. And the best thing evar.

| Not complaining but why can't we use race tires? They are acceptable in other motorsports like touge and circuit racing but not in drifting for obvious reasons. It would be the equivalent of using drag tires for drag racing, you get the most out of your car. Just a suggestion, having fun either way! | |

| I dunno.
Because we aren't using them in the time attack series either is the only explanation I have. My comp rules are kind of like TRK's, only I limit it to no Forza Aero, No Race slicks, and all other race parts are allowed. I still build my cars to his rules though so they are eligible in both series.
An unrelated side note about tires in Forza. I have heard that the Drag Tires offer about the same amount of lateral grip as Street Tires, but wear much quicker. Which can make for some more interesting racing if you have a field of cars running Drag Tires, forcing you to take pit stops for tires more often. IMO thats pretty cool!
