Location: Sedona Raceway 1/4 Mile
Car: Any BNB car tuned to A550 or below. NO OTHER RESTRICTIONS.
Deadline: Oct 18 2012 - Oct 25 2012

How to Enter
Simply take a photo of your race results and post the photo to enter.
Enter the challenge by going through the leaderboards to enter the A class Sedona 1/4 Mile drags, or by entering through Hot Laps at the main Forza Menu.


Participation bonus (for everyone that participates) - $250

Prizes
1st Place - $5,000 + Race part
2nd Place - $3,500 + Sport part
3rd Place - $2,000 + Street part
4th Place - $750 + Rim or Tire upgrade of your choice

(Parts have no value and you are not supposed to sell them, give them away or donate them if you don't want to use them)

Will AWD be competitive with RWD over the 1/4 do you think?

Can we use DR's?

I am not sure that AWD will have an advantage at this PI. So for this event its ok.

DR's? I assume you mean Drag Slicks? Yes. Everything you can think of is fair game, only restriction is A550 and BNB cars.

Will these specs be used FOREVER?
Or is this a one time event?

We could run more of these. I think A550 is a good compromise and a bit faster than B class, and theres plenty of various drag strips available to choose from.

We could even do a mile drag sometime so VTEK CAN KICK IN YO!




I think in some cases fewer restrictions might boost participation. I guess I really have no evidence if thats actually the case. Just run what you have with minimal cash put towards specific parts. I know a lot of people's drift builds use race parts so its whats available to some people. I still have my circuit cars built to your specs TRK so they are eligible in the time attacks I run and any that you host in the future.

Hmm, I think those rules are pretty good.
Since most race parts are custom manufactured and boring out an engine isn't something you'd do every day..

I'd probably bolt on a turbo/supercharger or add camshafts to build up enough power for a drag car.
Getting a car to A550 doesn't take that much, too :]

Yeah, its not a huge jump from B500 at all.

I'd like to think that however you want to build a car it can be competitive in different ways. Run less tire and be able to have more power output, or less power, but get the car as light as possible. Things like that. It will really come into play if we start running the various track lengths.

You know more about dragging than I do ;]

skinny slicks = more room for power if you got under 500hp youd hook just fine with 215-245(for me at least)

Yeah, I am still working on my build and havent commited to tire widths just yet....

my tires are to wide, most of my drag cars lift the front hard on the launch but this thing doesnt, need moar power!

Im going to put some scooby snacks at the finish line to see if it will persuade the WRX to mooove a bit quicker...

best i could get was 11.9 but that was with the S15. might try the 300ZX...

@camaro.....it might be possible....My testing a few days ago was at A525 and full width Drag tires, so I have plenty of expirmenting to do still.
