| Progress on the S14 GRDA build: Did some AUTOMATO DORIFUTO with some mates, had enough of the slushbox. Auto OUT: Mated to my rebuilt S13 trans with dog 2nd and 3rd and adjustable final: Ditched the crusty old turbo, got a rebuilt S15 snail cheap: Gutted the interior, caged it: Chassis should be up to competition regs at this point, so now it's on to brakes and then | |

| Thanks! I can machine stuff, but never was too great at general fab. Luckily my mate Jiro is a stellar welder! | |

| The PS13 is NOT dead, it's just in a coma until I have time/money to spend on it. Since I spent pretty much all the cash I had on my S14, I didn't really have anything to do today. So, I got the S13's redtop up on the engine stand and removed all the ancillaries and got to cleaning it. This was never a bad motor, I just bought the RB as a shortcut to power and low-end torque. After the GRDA build is done, this motor will get rebuilt and setup for matsuri spec, running around 350hp. | |

| More progress on the GRDA build! Got my hands on some second-hand calipers. R33 GTS-T fronts, Z32 rears. The rears needed a hella refurb, but they were practically free, so it was worth it! Finding rotors that work with this combo was a pain in the dick, but I managed to find some AP Racing slotted rotors that could be mated to an S15 center. Thank the drifting gods for two-piece rotors! Also grabbed two sets of Endless Y Sports pads for KANSAI DORIFUTOOOOOO Finally decided on a set of tires as well. Took me bloody ages to pick something just right, so I went with a hybrid tire - street tread with a sporty patch for my camber setup. Potenza RE070s! Suspension sorted, braking sorted, chassis sorted. Now the only thing standing between me and more power is money! How much, you ask? $26,400 | |

| Got some more done today. Nothing phenomenal, really. Went back to my nearby Autobacs and picked up some used rear overfenders and a Trust oil cooler for the S14. I DID manage to get to a drift day at Tsukuba. Wanted to feel out my suspension setup. The car's dialed... now it just needs power. It was a little embarrassing being out there with a fully caged and setup car but not being able to finish any sweepers with any sort of angle. I rocked the second-gear corners, though! After a few laps, though, a guy in an 86 totaled out, and hard. He was okay, but the car was done for. That's the price you pay. Feeling a little rattled by it, my confidence dropped and I only did a few more laps before calling it a day. I didn't get my money's worth, but it was worth it to know just how much more I needed to do to my car before it could be competitive. | |

| Thanks! There's a better shot here, just scroll all the way down: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Also here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.](I made them myself, they'll be on my SF when I have time to perfect them, haha) I've also got some cameraphone shots from Mixi of the totaled 86. It's worse than it looks. I'll post them up later, as well. | |

| That wheel isn't turned, the spindle nearly snapped off. It was a REALLY nice red panda, too. I guess he flung it into the back straight and locked up pretty badly. Slammed right into the wall and took out the whole side. It hit so hard, the windows on the OTHER SIDE of the car exploded out, as well as the rear window. Engine cradle shifted up and backwards by about an inch and a half, back of the valve cover dented the firewall!
