| Update. Yesterday I was off college, so a nice 4 day weekend to go out drinking! Or not, because I'm throwing more and more money into the S14 now. I ordered a set of 17" Blitz Technospeed 03's from eBay, they arrived this morning. Think they will look pretty decent on the S14. Also started looking for a new motor for it, I stumbled across a guy who builds up motors. I didn't know if he was still in the business so I messaged him. I got a reply within the hour, he said he could help me out for sure. Only thing was he is located in Japan. Not a problem, he knows a shipping company that is trustworthy. So we sealed a deal, now I'm waiting on a proper JDM motor. Can't wait! Meanwhile the original SR is seriously on it's last legs. It's rattling and banging all the time now. Smoking heavily, I tried to fix some issues today. Not wanting to spend a lot of money if I'm going to be swapping it soon. I sourced a new thermostat housing for free, and got that fitted. Also noticed that a section of the exhaust was rusted through, got smart and cut it out, and replaced it with an old air-wick air freshner can. It works, well, it works as a temporary solution anyway. Re-located battery to the boot. It's in a bad way, car and motor. I'm not driving unless I really need too, and if I do I'm not driving hard. That's it for today, will try and fix some more stuff tomorrow. | |
