BNB Time-Trials 02 - 06/05/12: Suzuka - Street-Legal

Welcome to our second BNB Time-Trial!
Thanks to everyone who joined the first!
You chose to drive the B-Class on Suzuka, so that's what we're going to do.

However, I don't think everyone will have their car ready.
That's why I'll be on Suzuka every day of this event.
You're free to take my S2k if you don't have a car ready yet.

Details:

Track: Suzuka Full
Tier: Street-Legal (B-Class)

You have to use the tune of your BnB car.
If you don't have one you can use my S2k but you cannot tune it.

The Prizes:

Place 1: $3,000 + a Race part
Place 2: $2,000 + a Sport part
Place 3: $1,000

Be sure to post a picture of your time, showing the car and track as well, before 06/05/12!
Also, choose a track and a class for next week (if there are no cars ready by then I'll arrange a special vehicle again)!

Maple Valley Full with A class cars. I suggest you do the next event like you did the first event, pick the car and have everyone use it to set a time until all of us can get our own cars built.

If you end up doing S class, I suggest the Mercedes SLS AMG.

Ah, we chose B - Suzuka and you can use my car if yours is not ready.

I know, I meant next week.

I used the S2K and OMG, is it phenomenal. That car has so much grip, it's unreal.

You're gonna beat my ass lol. I got a 2:34 the very first lap and I got a 2:26.7 but it was a dirty lap. There's that one corner where it's a U turn sweeper and I just don't know how to take it. I feel like I gain a second of time every lap I do but I lose it at that corner almost every try. I would've got a 2:25.8 for one of the laps I did but I messed up a sharp corner and rolled into the grass.

I'll see if I can go faster this weekend as well. Idk how you got a 2:22. Congrats.

The sharp corner at the end of the bridge?

Brake slow a little bit after the bridge and sprleed out in second, half gas in the corner, slowly full out when you straighten out.

You said 2:22.xxx unless I'm mistaken.

The corner I'm talking about is right after the sharp U turn going uphill. It's a straightaway for a short time then you have to hold right tight, then it's another U turn sweeper. I'll take a pic later and you'll see.

The corner you're talking about, I get it perfect every time.

That one you take in third, gas after the first one, low third or high second and slowly add throttle, that should do it.

I'll take a crack at it. I've only just registered a 69 Z though so I'll need to borrow the S2k

I'll try out that s2k as well since I just had a touring car race at Suzuka yesterday

I just did four or five laps, will post the result in a few moments.

The S2k performs pretty good, although on the laps I did today I lost grip a few times.
Might have to tinker with the tire pressure a little bit more.

It's always in lap three or four.
Did you guys notice too?

Yeah, it's because the tires heat up by that time and the grip goes out the building.

I told you that you'd get a 2:22. I'll do some more playing around with the laps and whatnot, see if I can get a better time.

I'll tweak the tire pressure a bit and send the tune.

Finally added my new car to my garage.
Going to give it this weeks event a try tomorrow when I'm not swamped with work but seeing how everyone is doing I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a lot to catch up.

I play on a really old tv so this was the best I could do, 2:27.320ish lol
