| Promised Spaz I would post up shots of my second-to-last Focus, the one that was at one point zebra camo. It was by no means a fast car, but in the dirt, snow, and rain, it was my own little rally car, and I loved it to death. Literally. The "two engines and a transmission" kinda love. Hard Parking like the lamest pimps ever. Good ol' 2.0 SOHC SPI. Pulled hard as beans, whatever that means! This was after a particularly hard run on the local mountain pass back home, the 108 just past Wappingers Falls. This car was automatic, and was the only single cam of the day. Yeah, I later added a trans cooler before inevitably cooking it. Yes, I can drive stick. Dig that lazy-ass fog light wiring. The zebra phase: Deleted the lunchbox. My neighbors loved me for this. Took out the couch and carpets, this made the rear end light and tail-happy, super fun in the wet. I need another one. Or an S chassis. You know, whatever. EDIT: Remembered these. Like I said, it was my rally car. Snow, mud, whatever. Nothing like your condenser falling out. | |

| I'm not, anymore. I moved out to LA in February. I used to live in 12601, though. Poughkeepsie/Hyde Park. About an hour north of the city. You may also find this interesting. When the new My Little Pony came out, I was the first person to have a custom plate made. lololololnerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd. Someone actually copied it in FM4. You can find it on the SF. Got a laugh outta that. This is the last Focus I had before I moved out here to LA. Chewed up the synchro to third, clutch-dumped the CV boots apart, and drove it to the scrapyard for spending cash in my new home. This one was a twin cam. Got this one for $240 with an exploderated motor. Here's all the pics I have of the rebuild. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

Don't do it. The EJ1 I bought had a swapped B18 with a "blown headgasket" but when I got it home the next day I put in a new oem head gasket only to figure out it was still smoking. I pulled out the entire thing and put in a jdm b18b that I know worked. If you are going to get this car make sure you get the block and head machined or check it with a straight-edge before buying. @Kru if you are ever deciding on swapping your motor don't purchase one from One Sixx, my bro bought his block from there and didn't tell him it had bad piston rings until after the fact. Clean DA bro!

| ^^ Thats what i said!!! Depending on how hot the engine got the head could be warped. But replacement (read-junkyard) motors are fairlry common and cheap. If you dont mind a lil work you could get that thing up and screaming for about 2 grand.
Thanks for the info Smooth!!! IDK if im ever gonna swap it tho....got too many things going at once. I gotta redo the bike, finish the 240 and then..maybe then then swap may come into play. i need to hit the flippin lottery......By the way you were at Automass right? I drove it out there and almost got stuck at the end of the parking lot!!!

| Hondas are easy to come by in Chicago, here's the list of my past cars.
90 Oldsmobile - was given to me for free
95 Ford Explorer - sold the 90 and bought this from a co-worker
96 Eagle Talon - traded the Explorer for the Talon (first pic of this thread)
95 Toyota Celica - crashed the Talon, sold it and bought the Celica
86 BMW E30 - neighbor was selling for $1K so I sold the Celica immediately
95 BME E36 - bought for $600, sold the E30 to brother and fixed up the E36
95 Honda Civic Coupe - E36 trans started slipping so I sold before it got worse, bought the civic from an uncle for $1,000
90 Honda Civic EF Hatch - traded the coupe because the ef had a b18
95 Honda Civic Coupe - traded the ef for the coupe because of a bent frame
96 Eclipse Turbo - boosted the coupe and traded it for the boosted eclipse
95 Honda civic coupe - blew the eclipse turbo, sold it and bought the civic for $1,000
Current - pulled the blown b18b1 out of the civic, put in a b18b from Eric Japan with a GSR transmission

No, I was boosting the Civic during Automass. The last meet I went to was the most recent ILL Fest and a small dyno day at SpeedQuest.
