my ideal honda daily would be a DC2 with a boosted B18 LS (buddy has one in his EG hatch, 311FWHP on a ebay pieced turbo kit and bone stock motor) GSR trans, lowered on white type r wheels.
my past cars:
1992 cavalier Z24. V6 FTW lol 93 S13 vert - bought it as a shell, it was my baby. only gonna be a track car 89 S13 hatch - parts car but was turning it into a missle 91 S13 coupe - was gonna be my daily but couldnt get the title in my name
current: 2001 chevy blazer 4dr - winter daily

| Kru - Only thing is, I'm not as mechanically inclined as most of you guys are haha. I'd only like to buy it as a car to experiment/learn stuff on. Plus if your estimates are correct, I'd rather spend the 2 grand on my DB8...If I had 2 grand anyway lol.
I remember last year I could have gotten a pretty clean EM1 for $800. All I need to do was replace the O2 sensor *face desk*.

| Thirty minutes to lift a car, drop the trans, pull it apart, replace a synchro, put it all back together and in the car? Where were you when I junked my last Focus, haha.
I know what you mean, though. In high school I had to pass on an FC because it needed a radiator and a windscreen. Guy wanted $700 for the car, running and with current tags. I didn't have the extra $350 or so I needed in parts, so I had to pass because I was in a pinch and needed a car asap, so bought my mom's 3-banger auto Tercel. :/

| Lol so me and my bro posted in an underground Chicago Honda group on Facebook about the bad motor One-Sixx sold us. My brother was going back and forth with the guy and I jumped in with my fm.net fighting skills and long story short we are picking up a new b16 from them tomorrow | |

bit of a sidetrack I know, but don't know if you guys could suggest a good starter car UK-side thats RWD & normally cheap to insure?

| an old 5 or 3 series might just squeeze classic but im not sure at 21 you'd get a proper discount fella + they are getting rare thanks to uk drifters i bit the bullet and bought a 200sx cheap and spent hours on the phone getting the insurance down to £800 when i was 24 but i doubt it would work after the massive increase in premiums over the last 2 years i would recommend jap for cost and reliability but the insurance groups are always higher a mid ninties 3 series should be a good choice dependent on insurance group, they are now dirt cheap and anything above 2.0l will slide nicely with a welded diff with the 2.8's being silly cheap to buy if not insure lol if you can find one an FC should be cheap on classic insurance and they tend to be cheap to buy as people are terrified of 13b's, if it needs a rebuild (the apex seals only last 100k if well maintained) then you are looking a £1,000 in parts if you do the work (its much easier to do then you'd think)
so first i'd say get checking insurance for any car you can afford to buy and let the premiums narrow the field lol

| the reason i missed the mx5 off the list is they dont have the power to drift in the dry.... unless you mod the engine or fit bald tyres haha | |
