i've not had much exp tuning muscle cars but i'd start by softening the rear springs but keeping the dampers hard and adding some neg rear camber then looking at the rear anti roll bar

Such low diff settings for racing, you'll get loads of understeer. Softening your rear suspension a lot usually work to get grip to the rear. I mostly start with 100/100% diff settings and decrease from there.
If everything is stock you'll need to balance the car by adjusting your tyre pressure. Try to get them as close as 32PSI while racing, if you're oversteering decrease the rear and/or increase the front a bit. It's not ideal but it will do until you get racing springs.

yeaaaa definately need race springs.
I agree with camaro 100% on the diff settings thats very close to what I run on my race cars. higher lockup makes the car more prone to break loose, at least how I drive it.
Which trans am is it? I have a lot of seat time and tunes for a 93 Mustang Cobra so I know a thing or 2 about making a pony car handle. Hell just look at my current garage, a Gremlin and a 79 Camaro. I feel like Im taking crazy pills!
3:20 is pretty fcking good for not having race suspension.

Yeah ill definetly mess around with my diff settings and tire pressure. My next buy is going to be some springs. And yeah, i thought a 3:20 lap was pretty damn good with a 3k pound car! I'll let you guys know how I do. I will probably update my time tomorrow afternoon sometime.

i run 35-45% on my accel on my track cars, low enough so its not drifting but just high enough so its not doing a 1 wheel peel exiting turns. race springs, street tires, and roll cage, doesnt have to be race tho, the chassis effect the handling/acceleration on Fbodies ALOT on this game

bilstein shocks with strano springs, Mr strano has his springs on his personal 01 camaro and spent the day at my local track and was able to keep up/outrun porsches and newer vettes, it was full weight with a bolt on/ mild cam LS1 6sp and full suspension/ vette brakes.

Hmm.. I usually not touch the diff setting until the very end. I like balancing the car with the springs. Maybe even use the ARB's as well.
I usually run high diff settings as that will allow the car to turn quicker. With low diff settings I feel like the car is losing power and thus is not using what it has. I use throttle control to control my power, the diff setting would be where the car doesn't slide away when I race out of a corner. Feathering the throttle, of course. This is usually around 90% for my cars.

depending on the track/car. on long tracks, road america for example i use a higher diff setting, like 60-70& with a ~50 decel. i use to use 100% then a road race friend told me his diff settings and it made the car alot more "calm" i guess, and i could push harder. but i guess it all comes down to driving style
