| Haven't updated my FM4 garage in ages haha...
This weekend I sent the M3 away to Chizfab. They are a company that specialize in professional automotive fabrication and Motorsport preparation. I wanted the body and chassis to be extremely overhauled, So I got the underbody patched up and painted BLAAACK, All 4 of the wheel arches tubbed so I can bolt up a maximum of 265's on the rear and 245's on the front. The suspension mounts were moved further back closer to the windscreen to allow more steering lock, along with getting everything from the strut tops forward chopped up to make a monster of a tubed impact bar setup. Once all the fabrication was completed, the last thing to finish was the inside. The whole interior was stripped out as I didn't need any of it apart from the dashboard and center console. The entire inside of the body was seam welded for maximum rigidity and a Chizfab Multi-point Cage with rear subframe triangulation, door bars, roof and rear section x bars. The subframes were replaced with M3 Evo ones which were custom welded for... you guessed it, more rigidity.
I got the car back a week earlier then expected and already started throwing bits and pieces at it to slowly build it up to a $50,000 Competition Car. I spent a few hours installing the brand new set of HSD MonoPro's ordered from Driftworks. Once that was done, I got to installing the rest of the parts from Driftworks. First up was a Genuine Black Leather/Black Spoke'd 330mm Nardi Steering Wheel with Grey Stitching. It looked the dogs bollocks. Next was the Seats, which were Sparco's EVO II FIA Approved Competition Bucket Seat. It's such an awesome seat doe. Along with the seat was a Driftworks Hydraulic Handbrake with a Custom handle courtesy of Kyle from Chizfab, a TRS 4-Point Harness in Red to match the colour of the car, a Blue illuminating dildo shift knob and an engine cut-off switch and fire extinguisher.
Time to roll the M3 to the back of the garage and call it a day.

| Good news!
Well, the FR-S just wasn't cutting it, so I decided to swap it for something else plus cash... That car in question was being sold by a mate called Banzai 7T. The car is a 2JZ swapped Altezza which is the Forza version of the JZX100 Chaser basically. I traded the FR-S for the Tezza plus $6,500 which was a pretty fair deal.
I got in the GT86 and headed down to the south of England to where Banzai lives. When I arrived, he was changing the Altezza's fluids and putting on a set of 18" Work Design DH's which made it look VIP as fuck. He got in the GT86 and I got in the Altezza then we took them for a quick drive around the neighborhood. The Altezza was so low, I was scraping the front bumper lip off the driveway as I was backing out of it.
After the short drive round the streets, we cruised back to Banzai's house so I could raise the suspension up a bit because of the extreme bumper scraping. 5 mins later, we exchanged the car documents, then I got my sat nav from the GT86, we said our goodbyes then I got on the road back up north.

| Hai Guys, I decided to give the soon-to-be missile S14 its long needed early treatment for the Spring Matsuri. I got the 14 for free quite some time ago and its just been sitting in the back of the shop looking a bit sorry for itself. The car came with a crappy KA that had a knock. I wasn't bothered about it as I had a Redtop SR waiting to go in. I got to work by firstly pulling the SR out of the shed where I kept all my spare parts and put it onto a palette. After giving the Engine a thorough inspection, I got to work by unbolting the transmission, clutch and flywheel assembly and hoisted the engine onto the stand. Hmm... Don't think it's supposed to look like that. Wow. I think it's safe to say that this thing has been used well haha. I removed all the ancillaries and other bits so I could start covering up holes to degrease the block and get it ready for painting. I finished stripping everything down, degreasing and painting the block... While waiting for the block paint to dry up, I took a few minutes to inspect the first lot of goodies that came in from FRsport. What you're seeing there is a motherload of new gaskets, bearings, belts, plugs and some other stuff. Here is the new OEM Oil Filter, Spark Plugs and the Nismo Mounts. Now to replace the old and useless water pump. Just using some JDM paper towels to stop the water from escaping... That orange stuff you see is called Permatex Sealant. Its good shit. Other work done so far, I've installed the new engine mounts. Painted the Intake Manifold and Collector. I bolted the brand new Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold back on aswell as a rebuilt S15 T28 Turbo mated to a Stainless Steel Elbow (Nothing torqued down yet). Just waiting on the Turbo lines to come so I can get that done. Sexy time. [img] [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Intake side is almost done too. Just need to install a couple more hoses then that'll be done. Didn't paint the throttle body doe. Too much shit to mask up. Wow. SR20 harnesses are the easiest piece of wiring I've done. Got the Turbo lines fitted. The Oil supply line. And the Coolant line. Things are starting to look good! Got my new pulleys installed aswell as the underdrive pulley. Everything is on and torqued except the waterpump, Which I'm waiting for new studs to come in. Next thing I did was replace the rear main seal, re-apply the new gasket to the upper oil pan, install the strainer and install the NEW oil pan. Installed. Yay! Think I used a bit too much sealant... She's almost done! Just a couple more things then it'll be time to yank the KA out the S14. Remember that horrible, ghetto looking transmission you saw in the first pic? Well, that's been taken care of. Got rid of all the old grease, Inspected, Cleaned and regreased the throwout assembly. Raided the shed again. Found some old stuff I used to convert the PS13 to manual. Just replaced the S13 diff with a welded R32 diff which was stronger. Cut out the holes for the clutch master cylinder and pedal. Yay, Goodies! Oil Filter Relocation. Just incase I wrap the car round something... New dust boot and shifterbox gasket to be installed once I find my goddamn snapring pliers... Manual Boost Controller, y0. Made a hold in my hotpipe to install a vacuum outlet for pressure source for the wastegate/boost controller. Last but not least, the ISIS 3" Blast Pipes. Yeah, fuck your ears. Used the insulator that came with the oil filter relocation kit to wrap the vaccuum line that runs close to the manifold. It's going to be getting hot around there. Replaced the shiftbox gasket, also replaced the shifter's lower dust boot, and its associated clamps (not shown). You just gotta use the best, right? Anyways, I shall continue later on with getting the KA out of the S14 and showing you all what I had to do to get the SR in there. | |

| ...Continued... With the SR built and ready to be installed, I got to work on the KA and the S14 Engine bay. I pulled the crappy KA out and began prepping the Engine bay for the SR. Lets clean this mofo! I bagged up the P/S line to prevent it from dripping, or worse, getting debris/grease into the line! Also plugged the fuel lines, A/C lines, taped up my connectors and moved the fuse block out of the way to paint. Well, I got the KA pulled out of the bay, but the damn passenger side Engine mount had to stay due to a stripped nut underneath! Apparently its a common problem, so I improvised... (lolwut) Got down on my back under the car with the dremel and voila! That was about a good half hour of grinding with that little dremel in a cramped space, not fun! Right now I'm just grinding rust, removing adhesive from little foam strips that rested against the radiator and other areas, and later today I'm going to tape everything off and paint. I'll post pics of the painted bay before I drop the SR in. She's coming along! A lot of work still to do, but the hardest is already done. She's coming along nicely! I got my Apex Intercooler installed, with piping... I had to remove the two radiator braces on the sides and relocate the horns to the center brace, after that the thing bolted right up with the provided hardware. Win win. I removed the battery tray and cut a hole for the cold pipe. It's not pretty atm, but I'll dress it up or cover it up later. I also removed the emissions canister located by the radiator on the driver's side and removed the steel line that ran with the brake lines along the firewall and down to here, I tee'd this off but am not sure what it is for. Some kind of re-circulation line? Also, I installed 4pt harnesses and ripped out my auto seat belt system, I still need to remove this portion of the wiring though. And last but not least...forgot to mention another minor thing I did... I INSTALLED THE ENGINE! I had some issues getting the transmission to mount up to the engine, but luckily this site had a forum that helped me out ALOT! Other than that, the engine was a pain in the dick to get in without breaking anything. We were jacking, lowering, pushing, pulling to get this thing in right! But she's in now and I'm happy. Front. Also installed the Radiator and Lines, I just used the old radiator feet which were still in good condition. She bolted right up! Not sure how to mount this correctly...I cant just put it right here because there wont be enough room for the oil pressure gauge outlet. I thought it was backwards, but I don't see how I can turn the base plate around, guess I'll just have to make a new bracket or something. I received and installed my JEGS Battery Relocation Kit, the tray was mounted on the driver's side due to easier install and didn't have to worry about drilling into the gas tank. Grounding onto a bolt that was for the rear seats. And ran the positive side across the trunk, along the passenger side, and through the firewall. I also mounted my boost controller (by mounted i mean ziptied) to the P/S reservoir. Shits done, y0. I find it awkward how I said that, as I'm going to beat the living shit out of it in ALL THE DRIFT EVENTS! | |
