Xbox ONE vs PS4: Microsoft REVERSES two policies! Video Inside!

If there's a thread like this already, then go ahead and lock this one. I couldn't find one.
I'm a little late on the E3 videos, I know, but that's because I was at work.

I was watching a video on youtube about Sony's conference that was condensed down and made by a youtuber named ShakeDown2012(credit goes to him) and I saw all the stuff they were doing. They said we wouldn't have to check in online, the price in comparison is $100 less, it's $5 per month for online, cloud saves, game collections, early beta access and other things.

I've yet to catch up on what the ONE has to offer, but go ahead and post in here which one you'll be getting, if you'll be getting either of them at all.

Also, please post a reason as to why.

I don't want this to turn into an argument thread, so take that somewhere else if that is your reason for posting in here.

I'm getting the One. I'm more of a social gamer, so with Xbox Live, and all the new entertainment items coming, its a no brainer for me. Also, I would find it hard to live in a world where there was a Forza game, and I wasn't playing it, lol. On top of that, the new UFC game, and RYSE: Son Of Rome look fan-flippin'-tastic.

Good points there. I'm the same way with Forza, even though I don't play 4 all that much anymore haha.

I don't know though, it's looking like the PS4 will actually give the One some type of fight.

I'm watching Microsoft's conference right now.

I'm really interested in this and please keep up dating as you learn more. Xbox live is by far the better choice for me now but, I only know very little about whats to come. FM5 is a big factor for me.

The Xbox ONE is my choice. As Tiger said, I like the social aspect of it. I always have access to the internet so that isn't a problem. As for restricted on selling games, I just won't sell them. I've always regretted that anyway.

Yeah, selling games won't be a problem for me because I don't like getting 1/3 of my money back after 3 days of purchasing the game lol. I keep them all anyway.

What is going to suck is the mandatory check in. People have lives.

Would you not be able to do it through a smartphone though?

If it's on a smartphone, then I'll be able to do so because by then, I will have a much, much better phone than what I have now. The 2nd question: not sure.

Just figured since I can access a lot of Xbox on my phone, we could be able to check in aswell.

I'm getting the Xbox One only for Forza 5 and thats it... Spending like $500 just for Forza 5...

You don't have to be on it every single day... just if you miss the day, you just play when you want, then you connect to the internet..... The thing won't RROD if you miss it. It'll simply wait until a connection is made, then it'll be fine again.

Always online something I do now. Exculsives are looking dope (MGS and Titanfall)

They said you have to check in at least once every 24 hours. :/

the social gaming advantage of the xbox has disapeared
xbl will not change (save for a couple of token offers)
psn is changing the game, real time streaming of games, compatible games will allow a friend thats watching your stream take over while you take a break or answer the phone etc... you will be able to play games WHILE they download

so the reason we are all (most of us) xbox regulars is the same reason we should be thinking hard about the ps4

B. You can stream realtime on the Xbox One to Twitch TV.

What's with this check in? This the first I've heard of this and I got a windows 8 phone just because it links to my xbox and if I have to "check in" I hope I can do it from my phone.

Xbox One will do all of that..... Yep, that'll change the game.


Here's my question, what games are only on PS4 that make you want to buy it...... I think of zero. 3 games on the Xbox One, MGS:V, TitanFall and Forza are all games that make me want the Xbox One over the PS4. That's the reason for my decision. Used games, blah, play steam enough and you'll understand used games. Always online, I do that anywho.
